The investment objective of the Norrep Global Class is to provide long-term capital appreciation by investing in small capitalization equities around the world. We search the globe to find fast growing or rapidly improving economies. We then apply both fundamental and quantitative analysis to a large universe of investment candidates within these economies, ultimately constructing a portfolio of 30 to 35 securities. We employ a value investment philosophy, and we consistently ensure that our investments are reasonably valued on a market, sector, and historical basis.

Value and Growth

We look for both value and growth potential in all our global equities. Our holdings tend to generate long-term earnings and cash flow growth, while having high returns on equity. Additionally, our companies must have an experienced management team, a clean balance sheet, and a strong position in their respective industry.

Research and Analysis

The Norrep Global Class is a natural extension of Hesperian's small cap expertise. Our track record demonstrates our ability to identify undervalued equities with significant growth potential. We utilize both externally published research and thorough in-house analysis to reduce the number of potential investment options and arrive at our ultimate investment decisions.

Long-Term Investment Style

We invest in securities with long-term growth potential, frequently holding many of our top ten ideas for more than three years. Generally, our top ten holdings represent 40 to 50 per cent of the portfolio's value. We view market gyrations as an opportunity for patient long-term investors. We believe that our style will generate "measurably superior" long-term returns.
