Norrep presents the 2011 Big Ride to support Canadian Olympic athletes
This past Friday, September 9, 2011, Norrep Funds presented the inaugural Big Ride cycling event under beautiful sunny skies in the Calgary area to support Canadian Athletes Now Fund. Event participants contributed $15,250 towards athletes' competition travel, training camps, higher quality equipment, proper nutrition, and basic living expenses. London is calling in 2012 and the results will be driven by our support.
Riders cycled between 20 and 85 km and enjoyed a post-ride BBQ, comments from the athletes, and live band (Jenavive) at Square Butte Hall near Millarville. A big thank you to participants and our guest athletes as well as to the event sponsors: Crown Capital Partners, Calgary Cycle, Cold FX, and Southland Transportation.
